‘Tis the season for giving: Giving simple holiday services and giving back to our loyal residents. To celebrate the true meaning of the holidays, one lucky winner from EACH community will WIN a fabulous prize! Starting December 12th, 2011 we’ll be giving ONE raffle ticket per household for each event attended. The more events you attend in our Phoenix Apartments by December 23rd, the more chances you’ll have of winning!
Take a look at what we’ve got in store for YOU during the 12 Days of Giving (check out Resident Central to find the time & place your community will be having these holiday events):
1. Tacky Sweater Day
Ever get an oddly-colored, super-snazzy (ahem, tacky) sweater as a gift from a distant relative? Don your jingle bells, appliqués and sequins that will put the “err” in “merry”!
2. Pet Snack Day
We haven’t forgotten about your pets this season! After all, we know they love the holidays too. There’s nothing like a little snack that would be a perfect present during the holidays. What pet can resist?
3. Holiday Cookies & Milk Day
Tis’ the season for a plate of cookies and a glass of milk. The holidays without them just wouldn’t be the same so we’d like to share some with you. Enjoy milk and cookies with us before we keep them for ourselves!
The holidays are a special and joyous time of year. It’s also a time when individuals need to be on alert to the possibility of crime. The hustle and bustle of the holiday season can easily create a distraction for people. During this festive time, pay special attention to the things going on around you. There are a few important actions that can be taken to avoid being victimized by criminals during the holiday season.
The holiday cheer is just a week away! Who’s been playing holiday music already? There are a select few (like me) that start the holidays in the beginning of November but for most, Thanksgiving Day would officially start off the holiday season.
Thanksgiving so often becomes about planning, cooking and entertaining, that it could run a host ragged! Thanksgiving is about celebrating with friends and family and the food coma to follow. Here are 7 tips that will help you relax and have fun with Thanksgiving this year. Continue reading

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… for anyone with a sweet tooth. Little monsters who come in packs, with bottomless treat bags in hand, terrorize doorsteps for sugary piles of assorted candy to bring home and gobble down for the next two weeks. And that includes me. Give me chocolate and I’ll be your best friend!
The spirit of Halloween is floating in the air and though candy is a treat for all (and a cavity waiting to happen), so is frightful costumes and spooky haunts! How will you get into the festive scare of All Hallow’s Eve?
Thank your freaky pumpkins that you’re a resident at our Phoenix Apartments!
We want you to bewitch us with your chilling costumes or thrilling patios. Who in the devil will win? Check out your specific community to find out which creepy contest they’ll be having during the month October!
Okay, okay… so we do have a couple more days till it’s officially Fall but who would know that in this nice weather that we’re having today? The sun is out, the breeze is cool, and there’s no chance of a triple degree day, thank you very much. I’m so glad that summer is coming to an end!
In honor of this lovely upcoming Fall season, one of our Phoenix Apartments will be having an Autumn Pie Party which gave me the idea to write this pie entry. (thanks Deer Valley team!)
Though Memorial Day is really all about the spirit of remembering, it’s also the official holiday that kicks us off for summer. Whether you’re throwing a good old fashioned BBQ or lounging with friends around the pool, we want to start your unforgettable weekend by bringing you our finds of events in and around our Phoenix Apartments.
My roommate has been asking our group of friends to go hiking and since she’s been asking for a while, we finally said we’d go. MISTAKE!!! At least, that’s what I first thought.
I’m not a big fan of the sun, which is weird since I’m in the sunniest state of all. I just tend to worry about UV rays and sun damage a lot. I am THAT person who carries sun block and lathers as recommended. We pack our water and snacks and head on to Piestewa Peak on Sunday morning. It’s a cold day out and when my roommate decides that we hike Squaw Peak Circumference Trail, I’m all in… until it starts getting steeper & steeper.
Hey you! It’s been awhile. This blog entry is a bit personal but I had to share. I came into the Trillium family almost two years ago as their social persona and visited our then 5 properties often. You know, the Asian girl from Hawaii – Jackie’s sidekick – voice on FB & Twitter– person? Anyway, I loved our unique Trillium residents and the different atmospheres you all brought to our sites. It was such a brief encounter, a bittersweet goodbye, yet I wouldn’t have had it any other way. Know why? Because news flash! I’m back in action and ready to go. As of Friday April 1st I became a full time Trillium-er again. I cannot tell you how good this feels. My emotions are running high as I’m settling into this new position.

So really, thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone in the Trillium family – especially Lesa & Michelle for believing in me & of course, you, for joining me on this ride that I can surely guarantee will be silly, crazy, moody, adventurous and above all, rewarding. Wish me luck!
always, g
