Principal
James L Dawson has more than 25 years of construction experience in the commercial, institutional and residential disciplines throughout the United States, Canada and Caribbean. Mr. Dawson is the Principal of Trillium Residential, LLC, which develops, constructs and manages award-winning, Class A urban and garden-style multi-family communities. To maintain the highest level of quality and integrity for each asset, Mr. Dawson, as the General Contractor, holds the commercial and residential construction license for Trillium Development, LLC.
As an integrated real estate company, Trillium combines development, construction, finance and property management disciplines under one roof, creating the cohesive and coordinated environment needed to execute more than $500 million in projects in the Phoenix metropolitan area and Southwest. The company's rapidly growing portfolio is distinguished by the focus of creating unique lifestyle experiences for residents through innovative architecture and design that fosters community socialization, entertainment and connectivity, while adding to and enhancing the integrity of the community-at-large.
As the Developer/Owner, General Contractor and Property Manager of each asset, Trillium is a true Design/Build company with a "Master Builder" philosophy motivated by a strong vested interest and genuine pride in ownership. Mr. Dawson brings a high level of sophistication in management, building technology and design to the multi-housing industry, an otherwise traditionally wood-frame business, as a result of his broad background in managing high-profile commercial and institutional projects.
Mr. Dawson received a Bachelor of Technology Degree in Architectural Science from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute. Upon graduating, Mr. Dawson started his career with a large International General Contractor headquartered in Canada which afforded him the opportunity to be involved in projects spanning the globe for over 13 years. Mr. Dawson quickly rose through the ranks from Assistant Superintendent to Regional Manager for diverse projects that range from an initiative in the Caribbean developing affordable housing, to the development of the over one million square-foot regional City Hall for the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto. Another highly notable project Mr. Dawson worked on includes the Rogers Centre, formerly known as the Skydome, which is one of Toronto's top three tourist destinations and the model for architects of future domed stadiums subsequently constructed around the world.
Mr. Dawson sits on the Trillium Executive Management Team.
